% 23.04.2018 Respondent no.2-Aarati is present in Court and has been identified by SI Sudhir of police station Maurya Enclave. She submits that petitioner was her neighbour and now she has settled the matter with him of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, therefore, she does not wish to pursue FIR No. 173/2016 under Sections 354/323 IPC registered at police Maurya Enclave any further and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
