The present petition under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that an Arbitral Tribunal was constituted on 19.03.2020. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has been extended from time to time and the last of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has been extended till 31.12.2025. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is going to expire on 31.12.2025, and therefore, the present petition has been filed for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. 3.

It is stated that the award has been reserved for pronouncement. 4.

In view of the facts of the present case, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 30.06.2026, so that the award can be pronounced.
