The present petition has been filed under Section 29-A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent on advance notice does not oppose the aforesaid request. It is stated by the counsel that the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of respondent's arguments on claim filed by applicant as well as respondent's counterclaim. 3.

Counsel for the parties submit that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was extended earlier by this Court vide order dated 20th December, 2024 and is set to expire on 31st December, 2025. 4.

Accordingly, the mandate of the Arbitrator is extended for a further period of twelve (12) months from 31st December, 2025.
