The present petition has been filed under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent on advance notice does not oppose the aforesaid request. It is stated by the counsel that the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of pronouncement of award and are likely to be concluded shortly.

Counsel for the parties submit that the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is set to expire on 31st December, 2025. 4.
