This petition is filed under Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the Act) seeking extension of time by three months for the learned Arbitrator to complete the proceedings.

It has been pleaded that four separate arbitration notices dated 06.05.2016 for appointment of Arbitrator were dispatched on 05.10.2016 appointing Sh.Promod Goel, Former District and Sessions Judge as the Sole Arbitrator. Learned Arbitrator entered appearance on 18.10.2016. The period of 12 months expired on 05.10.2017. By the consent of the parties,

the period for making award was extended by 6 months which has also expired on 04.04.2018. Hence, the present petition. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondent has entered appearance. He submits that he has no objection to the present petition. 4.

The petition is accordingly allowed.

The time for making award is extended by a period of three months w.e.f. 05.04.2018.

The petition stands disposed of.
