The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondents no.1 to 3 to take action against the unauthorized construction being carried out by respondents no.4 and 5 in shop bearing no.4773, Jogiwara, Nai Sarak, Delhi-110006 (hereinafter 'subject property'). 2.
A status report on behalf of the respondent no.1/ MCD has been handed over in Court today and the same is taken on record. 3.
In the status report, it has been stated that after following the due process of law, a demolition order was passed against the subject property on 20th March, 2026.

In compliance with the demolition order, the respondents no.4 and 5/owners/occupiers have themselves demolished the Mezzanine floor of the subject property. In this regard, relevant extract from the status report is set out below:
"9. That it is submitted that in compliance of the demolition order dated 20.03.2026 the owner/occupier had carried out self demolition in the subject property and demolished the mezzanine floor. Further, he had also leveled the floor to the ground level which was dug earlier. As the owner/occupier remove the unauthorized construction by himself no further action is warranted on the part of the respondent, as such the present petition may kindly be disposed of in the interest of justice. Photographs showing current status of the property in question are annexed herewith as Annexure-C(Colly)."

The petitioner is satisfied with the action taken by the respondent no.1/ MCD.

In view thereof, the present writ petition along with the pending application stands disposed of.
