The Petitioners who claim to be vendors in different areas under the management of the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (hereinafter "NDMC") have approached this Court seeking permission to participate in the survey of street vendors.

It is stated that the Petitioners have been vending at their respective sites for several years and reliance is placed on various challans for the same. The Court has been informed that the survey itself has already concluded in the Sarojni Nagar Area and other areas. Lists are also stated to have been drawn up. Under these circumstances the prayer for participating in the survey cannot be acceded to at this stage. 5.
If in future a fresh survey takes place, the Petitioners are free to participate in the same in accordance with law. 6.
It is made clear that this Court has not checked the credibility or genuinity of the claims of the said Petitioners. 7.
