This is a petition under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six months to conclude the arbitration proceedings. 2.
It is stated that disputes arose between the parties under the work order dated 21.07.2017. It is stated that this Court vide Order dated 19.01.2023 appointed a Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes between the parties.

It is stated that pleadings were completed on 11.06.2023 and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has come to an end on 10.12.2024. It is stated that the matter has been reserved for pronouncement of the Award. is stated that since the mandate of the Tribunal has come to an end on 10.12.2024, the Petitioner has approached this Court seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

The Respondent has no objection to the extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Keeping in view the facts of the case and since the matter has been reserved for pronouncement of the award, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 31.07.2025 so that the Award can be pronounced and no further extension of time would be required by the Tribunal.

The petition is disposed of along with pending application(s), if any.
