% 08.08.2016 Learned APP has tendered in Court a status report. As per the status report, the petitioner was recorded as a Bad Character of police station Chhawla, South West Distrct. His history sheet was opened ton 26.03.2001 and his name was registered in Register No. 10 Part II by the concerned DCP, South West District. It is further pointed out that the review has been undertaken by the present DCP and the history sheet of the petitioner has been placed in Bundle B. The consequence of the said shifting of the name of the petitioner from Bundle A of Bad Character to Bundle B is that he is no longer considered as an active Bad Character. Mr. Kundu submits that the petitioner has since shifted his residence

and accordingly, his records are being shifted to PS Gandhi Nagar. Mr. Kundu further submits that in view of the aforesaid development, the petitioner shall not be put for active surveillance and he shall not be called to the police station without any rhyme or reason. It is, therefore, ordered that the petitioner shall not be troubled or called for any purpose to the police station and the police shall not visit him unless there is a specific reason there for.

The petition stands disposed of.
