1. The petitioners have approached this Court seeking a direction to the respondent to decide its pending application dated 10.09.2019 seeking affiliation of additional 9 (3+3+3) units of electrician trade for the academic session 2025-26.

2. Issue notice. Learned counsel for respondent accepts notice.

3. Though learned counsel for the respondent prays for time to file counter affidavit, in my view, in the light of the limited relief being sought by the petitioner and the admitted position that the respondent is bound to process every application received by them, no counter affidavit is called for.

4. petition deserves to be allowed by directing the respondents to expeditiously process the petitioners' application as per the laid down procedure and preferably within a period of 16 weeks from today.

5. In case, any further information or documents are required from the petitioners, the same will be communicated to the petitioners, who will then forthwith furnish the necessary information/documents.

6. Needless to state this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' claim and in case the petitioners are aggrieved by any orders passed by the respondents, it will be open for them to seek legal recourse, as permissible in law.
