Present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction to the respondents to trace out his father, Sh.Inder Dutt, and produce him before this Court. 2.

As per the petition, seventy years' old father of the petitioner, who is a Mechanical Engineer, is missing since 15.10.2015. The father of the petitioner was suffering from dementia and Alzheimer since April, 2014. 3.

Notice in this petition was issued on 30.3.2016. Status report has been placed on record from time to time stating the efforts put in by the Police to ascertain the whereabouts of the father of the petitioner. During the course of investigation, search teams were formed; investigation was carried out; 'hue & cry' advertisements were published in Dainik Jagran, Hindi Edition, having circulation at Dehradun and Delhi; and younger brother of the petitioner was also examined.

Today, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, very fairly submits that the petitioner is fully satisfied with the steps taken by the Delhi Police to recover the missing father of the petitioner. Counsel further submits that he has instructions not to press the present petition but prays that search of the missing father of the petitioner may be directed to continue.

Accordingly, having regard to the submissions made, present petition stands dismissed as not pressed, however, the State is directed to: i.

continue the search of the missing father of the petitioner; and ii.
