% 12.04.2017 The present petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:- "It is, therefore, prayed that this Hon‟ble Court may be pleased to:- (a) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus, order and direction to the respondents, commanding respondent to allow the petitioner‟s daughter to participate in the lottery/draw for the purpose of admission in the entry class level under Economically Weaker Section and Disadvantaged Group (EWS/DG) Category for session 20172018. Since the draw/lottery has not yet taken place (b) Issue a writ, order and direction to the respondents commanding respondent to provide an alternative remedy if available

so that the petitioner don‟t have to suffer of no fault on his part. (c) Any other/orders as this Hon‟ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case." Learned counsel for the petitioner concedes, as the draw of lots has taken place, the present petition has become infructuous. He also states, the respondents must consider the case of the petitioner in future, in the eventuality any vacancy arises. Mr. Rizwan, Advocate states, as per the policy of the respondents, applications of unsuccessful candidates are automatically considered for future vacancies. The statement is taken on record.
