% 29.03.2016 The present is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (CrPC) seeking a writ of mandamus to the SHO, Police Station- Dabri, Delhi, requiring the latter to afford adequate protection to the petitioners who are a newly-wed couple.

Mr Kundu, learned Additional Standing Counsel (Crl.), accepts notice and files status report which is taken on record. A perusal of the same reveals that in response to a complaint received on behalf of the petitioners to the effect that they are apprehending threats from the family members of petitioner No.2, the concerned SHO has provided the mobile numbers of the beat staff and Division Officer of the concerned police station to the petitioners so as to enable

the latter to contact the former in the event of any threat or apprehension. In view of the foregoing status report the relief prayed for in the present petition has been satisfied. The petition is disposed of accordingly. Dasti.
