The present petition has been filed under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent on advance notice does not oppose the aforesaid request. It is stated by the counsel that the arbitration proceedings are at the stage of recording of the respondent's evidence.

Counsel for the parties submit that the mandate is about to expire on 31st December, 2025.

Accordingly, the mandate of the Arbitrator is extended for a further period of one (1) year from 31st December, 2025.
