This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of 1 year for making and publishing the final Award.

It is stated that the matter is at the stage of arguments of the counterclaimant and documents are voluminous in nature. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice to the respondent. 4.

Mr. Kalra, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. I am satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for delay. In view of the aforesaid, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a further period 1 year from 31.12.2025 to conclude the arbitration proceedings.
