Heard learned counsel representing the parties. 2.
By instituting this public interest litigation petition, a prayer has been made to conduct an inspection of the multi-storey buildings in and around Majnu Ka Tila and New Aruna Nagar, Delhi, which according to the petitioners are being used for commercial purposes such as running cafes and restaurants and further to take appropriate action against the buildings and establishments, which are found to be operating without sanctioned building plans.

Another direction which has been sought in the writ petition is that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Delhi Fire Services be directed to enforce the National Building Code and applicable fire safety measures in the said areas to ensure that the action which may be required may also be taken. 4.
Learned counsel representing the Delhi Development Authority, on instruction, has informed that on the basis of this public interest litigation petition, a suo motu complaint has been registered at the portal of Special Task Force bearing Reference ID No.SNS202512245P. A screenshot has been tendered by learned counsel for the Delhi Development Authority/Special Task Force, which is taken on record.

In view of the facts that a suo motu complaint has already been registered by the Delhi Development Authority/Special Task Force, we dispose of this public interest litigation petition with a direction to the concerned authorities to take appropriate action, which may be warranted under law after examining the grievances raised in this public interest litigation petition. The decision and action as may be warranted under law on the complaint, which has been registered by the Delhi Development Authority/Special Task Force shall be taken with expedition. 6.
The public interest litigation petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
