The present matter has been received on transfer from another Court. CM APPL. 66112/2025 2.

The present application has been filed seeking condonation of delay of two days in depositing the compensation amount with the Registry of this Court.

It is submitted that the present appeal was filed on behalf of the appellant under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, against the impugned judgment dated 03rd August, 2024, passed by the learned Presiding Officer-MACT, North West District, Rohini Courts, Delhi, in the case bearing MACT No. 109/18. By way of the said judgment and order dated 03rd August, 2024, the learned Tribunal allowed the claim petition of the respondent.

It is submitted that subsequently against the said judgment, the present appeal was filed, wherein a settlement for total lump sum compensation of ₹ 69,00,000/- took place, as the full and final settlement, in the Lok Adalat on 13th September, 2025. It is submitted that the appellant was directed to deposit the awarded amount within a period of four weeks, with the Registry of this Court. However, there has been a short delay in depositing the demand draft with the Registrar General of this Court. 5.

Considering the submission made before this Court, the delay in depositing the compensation amount is condoned. 6.

The appellant is granted liberty to deposit the aforesaid amount with the Registry of this Court, within a period of two working days. 7.

It is clarified that since the Court is closing for vacations, the next working day would be 25th October, 2025, when the appellant shall deposit the requisite amount.

With the aforesaid directions, the present application is accordingly disposed of.
