This Court, vide order dated 2nd January, 2026, had passed a status quo order, which was to operate till today.

Counsel for the petitioners submits that the status quo order be extended for a further period of two (2) weeks, during which the petitioners shall take appropriate remedies as per law.

Accordingly, it is directed that the aforesaid status quo order shall continue for a period of two (2) weeks from today, during which period the petitioners shall take appropriate steps in accordance with law. 4.

In terms of the aforesaid, the present petition, along with the pending application, stands disposed of.

It is made clear that no observation with regard to the merits of the matter have been made by this Court.
