O R D E R
% 16.03.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre on 13th February, 2017 vide Annexure B, therefore, FIR No.2/2012 under Sections 448/380/34 IPC registered at police station Roop Nagar on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Praveen Kumar PS Roop Nagar. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.
Respondent no.2 also admits that he has already received `1,30,000/-, out of the settled amount. Remaining amount of `1,25,000/- has been paid by the petitioners to respondent no.2
vide demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. He submits that he has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 and that respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No.2/2012 under Sections 448/380/34 IPC registered at police station Roop Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
