The grievance raised by the petitioner in the instant petition precisely relates to non-compliance of directions contained in paragraph no.6 of the order dated 22.09.2025 passed by the Central Information Commission (CIC).

It is the case of the petitioner that the CIC, after considering the facts and circumstances of the matter, found that the reply to the Right to Information application was furnished to the petitioner only on 30.08.2025 and that no explanation for the delay had been provided. 3.
In view of the above circumstances, the CIC directed the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) to submit a detailed written statement before the Commission, specifying the reasons for the delayed reply, along with the comments of the First Appellate Authority (FAA), by uploading the same on the website within twenty (20) days from the date of receipt of a The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Learned counsel, who appears on behalf of the respondent on advance instructions, submits that the aforesaid order has been complied with. 5.
For the sake of clarity, paragraph no.6 of the said order is extracted as under:- <6. The Commission after adverting to the facts and circumstances of the case, hearing the respondent and perusal of records, observes that upon receipt of the Commission's hearing notice, an appropriate reply to the RTI application has been provided to the appellant on 30.08.2025. However, there is considerable delay in disposing the RTI application and the respondent failed to explain the cogent reasons for such inordinate delay. Therefore, the Commission directs the CPIO to submit a written statement before the Commission, citing the reasons in detail for delayed reply along with the comments of the FAA's, by uploading on http://dsscic.nic.in/online-Iink-paper-compliance/add, within 20 days from the date of the receipt of this order, under intimation to the Commission. With this observation and direction, the appeal is disposed of.= 6.
Any issue of non-compliance of the CIC order is required to be examined in the first instance by the said authority, itself. In the event the order is found to have not been complied with, the CIC is fully empowered to initiate appropriate proceedings and impose penalty under Section 20 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

With the aforesaid observations and granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the CIC for redressal of his grievance, the instant petition stands disposed of.
