The Petitioner has filed an amended writ petition, seeking a direction to the Respondents to consider and decide his application dated 29th July, 2025, whereby permission has been sought to erect boundary fencing over 8 acres of agricultural land situated in the Revenue Estate of Village SawdaKhanjhawala, Delhi, claimed to be owned by the Petitioner. 2.
Since notice has not yet been issued, no formal application is required and the amended writ petition is taken on record. The Petitioner asserts that he is the lawful owner of the subject land on the basis of revenue records and that, in order to protect the land from damage by stray animals, he approached the office of the District Magistrate, North West District, by submitting an application seeking permission to erect proper fencing around the concerned land parcels. According to the Petitioner, such permission is necessary to safeguard the standing crops from damage caused by stray animals.

Counsel for the Respondents submits that the application was purportedly sent by post and that the Respondent authorities were not approached in the prescribed manner.

Be that as it may, the copy of the said application has now been enclosed with the present petition. Moreover, since no decision has been taken on the aforesaid application till date, this Court, without entering into the merits of the Petitioner's claim, directs the Respondents to consider and decide the Petitioner's application dated 29th July, 2025, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from today. 5.
All rights and contentions of the parties are reserved. Should the Petitioner be aggrieved by the decision of the Respondents, he shall be at liberty to take recourse to appropriate remedies, in accordance with law. 6.
Disposed of along with pending application.
