O R D E R

% 24.04.2018 Petitioner no.1 (husband) and respondent no. 2 (wife) state that they have settled their disputes amicably and they have started living together for the last six months; therefore, FIR No. 147/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Palam Village on the complaint of respondent no. 2 may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 Ms. Sarita Gupta is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Ravinder of Police Station Palam Village. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no. 2 further

submits that presently she has no grievance against the petitioners and has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 and 3.

Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 147/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Palam Village and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
