The present writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of the Show Cause Notice dated 22nd August, 2025 issued by the respondent no.2, under Sections 344 and 344(1) of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957. 2.

Earlier, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the Appellate Tribunal, MCD against the said notice, which was dismissed as not maintainable. Liberty was given to the petitioner to challenge the demolition/sealing order as per law.

Pursuant to the said Show Cause Notice, personal hearing was given to the petitioner on 2nd January, 2026, on which date the petitioner appeared. 4.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that certain additional documents have been supplied to him by the respondents, in respect of which he seeks to file an additional response. not granted to him on 2nd January, 2026 and he seeks a further hearing to put forth his case.

Without going into the issue whether the hearing granted on 2nd January, 2026 was proper or not, an opportunity of one further hearing is granted to the petitioner along with an opportunity to file an additional response.

The said hearing shall be granted to the petitioner on 28th January, 2026 at 03:00 PM. The additional response shall be filed on or before the said date of hearing.

Counsel for the petitioner assures the Court that no adjournment shall be taken on the said date.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 9.

Needless to state, this Court has not gone into the merits of the case.
