CRL.M.C. 247/2026 By way of the present petition filed under section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, the petitioner seeks a direction for expeditious/time-bound disposal (within the next 03 months) of CT Cases No.323/2024 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate First Class (NI Act)-05, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi.

In the course of a brief hearing in the matter, it transpires that the cheques, which form subject matter of the proceedings, were dated 15.12.2023 and the criminal complaint came to be filed on 21.02.2024. The matter is now at the stage of recording the complainant's evidence and is next listed before the learned trial court on 13.03.2026.

In the circumstances, and considering the workload pending before the learned trial courts, this court does not consider it appropriate to issue any specific direction for time-bound disposal of the present case.

However in view of the submissions made, the learned trial court is requested to dispose-of the present case as expeditiously as possible, subject to other constraints.

Petition is disposed-of in the above terms.
