This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondent nos.1 and 2 for production of the brother of the petitioner, namely, Sh.Narayan Das, who is stated to be missing since 28.08.2020.

The present petition has been filed claiming therein that the erstwhile business partners of the missing brother and of the petitioner, that is, the respondent nos.3 to 6, in a moment of anger abused the petitioner and stated as under:

WAISE TU BHI GAYAB HO JAEGA OR TERA PATA NI LAGEGA".

The learned Standing Counsel for the State, however, draws our attention to the Status Report dated 17.03.2026, wherein details of the investigation made to trace out the missing person have been given, including enquiry made and recording of the statements of the respondent nos.3 to 6.

We are satisfied that adequate efforts are being made by the respondent nos.1 and 2 to trace out the missing person. We direct that the same should be continued.

With the above direction, the petition is disposed of.
