After arguing the matter for some time, learned counsel for petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition, with liberty to take all possible defence before the Assessing Officer (AO). 2.

The liberty as prayed for by the petitioner is granted and the petition is disposed of as withdrawn.

In case during the proceedings, the petitioner files a reply and claims that his income is not taxable by virtue of Section 115A of the Income Tax Act, 1961, the AO will consider the objections as filed by the petitioner.
