O R D E R

% 18.04.2018 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had made an application to the Sub Registrar seeking registration of his gift deed, but the Sub Registrar instead of processing the same, has directed him to submit the status report of the land in question from the Land Acquisition Collector. He submits that the said requirement is not in consonance with the legal position. After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner concedes that the petitioner has not made any representation either to the Sub Registrar explaining the legal position as per his perception nor has he approached any superior statutory authority challenging the action of the Sub Registrar.

He seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to

approach the competent statutory authority with a request for consideration of his application for grant of NOC and registration of gift deed. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Liberty as prayed for is granted.

Needless to say that if such an application is made by the petitioner, the respondents would deal with the same in an expeditious manner by passing a reasoned and speaking order. REKHA PALLI, J APRIL 18, 2018 gm
