O R D E R

% 15.05.2018 This application has been filed under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') seeking extension of time for making of the Arbitral Award. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the final arguments have been addressed by the parties in the arbitration proceedings and only the Award is awaited. The counsel for the respondent submits that though he has no objection to the extension of time for making of the Award, it should not prejudice respondents rights to challenge the Arbitrator in case any application under Section 34 of the Act is to be filed at a later stage. In view of the above, the time for making of the Award is extended by a further period of eight weeks from today.

The petition is allowed in the above terms and with no order as to cost.
