By way of these petitions, the petitioners seek quashing of two FIRs, i.e. FIR bearing no. 449/2023, registered at Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 323/354/506/509/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and FIR bearing no. 461/2024, registered at Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 323/506/509/34 of the IPC.

The petitioners and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the allegations in the aforementioned FIRs, which have been taken together, arise out of the disputes, when both the sides have alleged cross FIRs against each and on their complaints, the aforementioned FIRs were registered against the petitioners under the relevant sections. It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 03.04.2025, entered between them.

has been identified by the concerned IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by respondent no. 2 that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. Respondent no. 2 further states that she has no objection if these FIRs are quashed. 7.
In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIRs and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIRs in question. 8.
Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 449/2023, registered at Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 323/354/506/509/34 of the IPC and FIR bearing no. 461/2024, registered at Police Station Vivek Vihar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 323/506/509/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of the above, the present petitions stand disposed of. 10.
