The present petition has been filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, on behalf of the claimant before learned Arbitrator, seeking extension of mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator.

At the outset, learned counsel for the respondent appears on advance notice and on instructions submits that they have no objection to the present petition.

This Court is further informed that the parties have already given their consent for extension of mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is another connected matter, which is also being taken up by the learned Arbitrator. 5.
It is submitted that the parties involved in both arbitrations are identical. completed, therefore, since, both the matters are to be taken up together, the final arguments in the present matter have been deferred on that account by the learned Arbitrator.

This Court is informed that the mandate of the learned Arbitrator has already expired on 31st August, 2025 and the parties jointly submit that the period from 31st August, 2025 till date, be regularized.

It is further submitted that a further period, till 31 December, 2026, be granted as extended period of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator. 8.
Accordingly, with the consent of the parties, the following directions are issued:
I. The mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator from 31st August, 2025 till date, is regularized.
st II. The mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended till 31 December, 2026.

With the aforesaid directions, the present petition, along with pending application, is accordingly disposed of.
