% 17.05.2016 This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India filed by the father of Laxmi, who was missing since the morning of 18.03.2016, seeking a writ of habeas corpus for her production. On the same day, at 12:00 noon an FIR was registered bearing No.265/2016. Since the daughter of the petitioner was not found, the present petition was instituted. Notice was issued in the matter. On the last date of hearing, Laxmi was produced in Court. Laxmi is present in Court along with her father. Her father submits that Laxmi has informed him that she had left the house out of her own free will and she was not coerced or forced in any manner by Noor Alam and it was her own decision to leave the house. Laxmi has also made a statement in Court that she had left her parental house of her own and she was neither forced nor enticed by Noor Alam to leave her parental house. Petitioner and her daughter further submit that they have no objection if Noor Alam is enlarged on bail. Parties
submit that they would approach the competent court of jurisdiction seeking quashing of FIR. Petitioner and her daughter submit that Noor Alam was living in the same locality.
Noor Alam has been produced in Court who is stated to be 19 years of age. Laxmi and her father submit that they would not like any action to be taken against Noor Alam and do not press the present petition. The petition is dismissed as not pressed.
