$~59 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + W.P.(C) 6483/2018 & C.M. Appl. No. 24880/2018 PANKAJ KUMAR ..... Petitioner Through Mr. Ravindra Kumar and Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Advs.
versus DELHI DEVELPMENT AUTHOURITY ..... Respondent Through None.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJIV SHAKDHER
O R D E R
% 01.06.2018 1.
The substantive prayers made in the petition are as follows:- "(i) to allow the correction of the category from general to OBC, as the same was wrongly taken by the computer at the time of submission of the application after verification of documents.
(ii) pass a direction/order to keep the vacancy vacant till the final disposal of the petition.
(iii) pass a directions/order for appointment of the petitioner on the post of Section Officer (Horticulture) against post code-08."
2.
The record shows that the petitioner had sat for the exam in issue as far back as on 26.09.2017. It is averred that he secured 58.843 marks. W.P.(C) 6483/2018
3.
To be noted, the petitioner had applied for the post of S.O. Horticulture. It appears that, inadvertently, the petitioner applied in the General category instead of OBC. It is because of this mistake, made by the petitioner, that he was ultimately not selected for the post. The petitioner says that since he was making representations in the interregnum, he did not approach the Court in time.
4.
According to me, this error, which, the petitioner himself committed, cannot be corrected, at this late stage.
5.
Petition is accordingly dismissed.
6.
Pending application shall stand closed.
