This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioners after more than 01 year from the date when the judgment dated 07.01.2025 ('impugned judgment') was passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal ('Tribunal') in O.A. No. 192/2024. 2.

The Petitioners aspire promotion to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer ('AAO') in the Subordinate Accounts Service Examination held in the year 2018. It is submitted that though the Petitioners obtained qualifying marks in the said examination, they have not been promoted.

It is not the case of the Petitioners that the Respondents who have obtained lesser marks than the Petitioners have been promoted. Promotion to the post of AAO is a selection post. On the basis of performance in the examination the promotions have been made. 4.
