By this petition the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 227/2017 under Section 376 IPC registered at PS Rani Bagh, New Delhi on the ground that the petitioner and complainant have since married each other.

Allegations in the FIR in question were that the petitioner expressed his intension of marrying the complainant, expressed his love to her and had physical relationship. However, despite promise of marriage for two years, he did not perform the marriage and continued having sexual relationship with the complainant.

Considering the nature of allegations, this Court finds no ground to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
