W.P.(CRL) 808/2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 27th February, 2017, therefore, FIR No.247/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Madhu Vihar on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed. Petitioner nos.2 & 3 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has

been identified by W/SI Madhvi Bisht PS Madhu Vihar. She submits that petitioner no.1 has already pronounced talaaq. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue pressure, force or coercion. She further admits having received the entire settled amount of `3,25,000/-. She submits that she has no objection in case the present FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No.247/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Madhu Vihar, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
