% 19.04.2016 Present matter has been listed today in pursuance to the urgent mentioning being allowed by the Division Bench. Present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to Delhi Jal Board to install a new water connection in the name of the petitioner/tenant at shop no.3, Model Town-II, Delhi. Since the petitioner is a tenant under the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958, the petitioner has an alternative effective remedy under Section 45 of the Act to seek restoration of water supply. Consequently, the present writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file alternate proceedings under Section 45 of the Delhi Rent control Act.
