FIR bearing No. 704/2022, registered at Police Station Rajouri Garden, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 420/468/471/120B of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 7.
Issue notice. Mr. Manoj Pant, learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State.

The Petitioners and respondent no.2 are present before this Court and has been identified by his counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned. 9.
Brief facts of the case are that on 12.12.2022, due to some misunderstanding and disputes regarding fraudulently obtaining fake documents and extorting money and original passport from the respondent no.2, the present FIR came to be registered. It is stated that with the intervention of respected members of the society, the parties have now amicably settled their disputes vide Settlement Agreement dated 29.10.2024. 10.
On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO concerned, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 11.
The statement of the parties to the said effect had been recorded by the learned Joint Registrar (Judicial) on 18.03.2025. 12.
In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion, and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 13.
