The petitioner has filed the present application under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act'), inter alia, praying that the time for making the award be extended for a further period of six months from 21.04.2018. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent also joins the petitioner in making the aforesaid request. 3.

The learned counsel appearing for the parties state that the delay in proceedings is not attributable to the Arbitral Tribunal and the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of examination of witnesses. 4.

In view of the above, the application is allowed and the time for

making the arbitral award is extended by a further period of six months, that is, from 21.04.2018 till 20.10.2018.

The application is disposed of in the above terms. 6.
