CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU
O R D E R
% 10.05.2019 1.
The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondents to confer Dronacharya Award, 2017 to petitioner no.4, before commencement of any further scheme of granting the Dronacharya Award for the year 2018. The petitioners also pray that the respondents be directed to investigate into the manner in which the decision to confer the Dronacharya Award, 2017 was made. 2.
It is contended by the petitioners that the score awarded to petitioner no.4 was much higher than the score awarded to Sh Heera Nand Kataria; yet, he was recommended for the Dronacharya Award, 2017 instead of petitioner no.4. It is also stated on behalf of the petitioners that the recommendations on the basis of which a decision to award Dronacharya Award, 2017 in favour of Sh Heera Nand Kataria was made, was forged and
a FIR in this regard is pending.
3.
This Court is not inclined to entertain the present petition or to issue any directions to the respondents with regard to conferring of the Dronacharya Award, 2017 as this Court is informed that the respondents are examining the averments made in the petition. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents, further states that the concerned authorities have written to the police authorities in Rajasthan to elicit further information. It is stated that in the meanwhile, the grant of the award in question has been kept in abeyance.
3.
There is no reason to doubt that the respondents shall examine the allegations made in the present petition and the concerned authorities will take an informed view. The concerned authorities are directed to do so, within a period of six months. Needless to say that if the petitioners are aggrieved, the petitioners are entitled to avail of the remedies as may be available in law.
4.
The petition is disposed of. The pending application is disposed of. VIBHU BAKHRU, J MAY 10, 2019 pkv
