CRL.M.C. 2556/2018 1.

Petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 347/2013 under Sections 354/506/ 509 IPC PS Saket.

The allegations against the petitioner is that he had misbehaved with the complainant, who was then working as a Probationary Officer. It is contended that the petitioner had come to give an application and in this process, he misbehaved with the prosecutrix. 3.

Parties have settled their dispute and a Settlement Deed dated 06.05.2018, has been executed between the parties. 4.

Respondent No.2 is present in Court and is represented by counsel and is identified by the IO. She submits that she has settled CRL.M.C. 2556/2018

the matter with the petitioner and does not wish to press her complaint.

In view of the above and keeping in view of the fact that the parties have resolved their dispute and a Settlement Deed dated 06.05.2018, has been executed between the parties, and further respondent No.2 does not wish to press charges against the petitioner, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom. 6.

Accordingly, FIR 347/2013 under Sections 354/506/509 IPC PS Saket and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to the petitioner depositing costs of Rs.15,000/-, which shall be paid to the " Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust", within a period of two weeks from today. Receipt of deposit of the costs imposed by this Order be furnished to the concerned Investigating Officer within a period of three weeks from today.
