% 07.05.2018 Notice. Learned APP accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and accepts notice. Respondent no. 2 has been identified by SI Sanjay of Police Station Shakarpur. It is submitted that husband (petitioner no.1) and wife (respondent no.

2) are living together after settling their disputes amicably before Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 2nd July, 2016; therefore, FIR No. 295/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Shakarpur on the complaint of respondent no. 2 and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no. 2 further submits that presently she is living with petitioner no. 1 and has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5.

Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 295/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Shakarpur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
