The limited grievance raised by the petitioner herein is with regard to the inaction on the part of the respondent No.2 in deciding his statutory petition dated 02.01.2018 whereunder, he has sought quashing of the punishment of reduction from the post of Havildar to Naik awarded to him pursuant to a charge-sheet dated 19.10.2016.

Learned counsel for the respondents assures the Court that the statutory petition dated 02.01.2018, submitted by the petitioner to the respondent No.2, shall be decided expeditiously. 3.
In view of the said submission, the present petition is disposed of at the stage of admission with directions issued to the respondents to examine the statutory petition dated 02.01.2018, submitted by the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law under written intimation to him within six weeks from today.
