O R D E R

% 27.04.2016 Heard the counsel for the appellants and Union of India. The Land Acquisition Appeal was filed by Laxmi Devi and her son as against Union of India and Hem Chander, husband of the appellant no.1. During the lifetime of respondent No.1, the compensation amount to the extent of 50% was released in his favour (Hem Chander). Later, Hem Chander died and the appellant and her son (appellant No.2) and one daughter of late Hem Chander were impleaded as legal representatives of Hem Chander. Thus, now there remains no dispute with respect to the remaining 50% of the amount to which the legal representatives (including the appellant Nos.1 & 2) would be entitled to. In this view of the matter, the appeal is disposed of as no lis remains for determination by this Court. The rest of the 50% amount awarded as

compensation along with the interest accrued on the aforesaid amount be released in favour of the legal representatives of Late Hem Chander in equal proportion.

The appeal is disposed of in terms of the above. No order as to costs.
