O R D E R
% 17.07.2018 The petitioners are adults. They are married to each other of their own free volition. In terms of the Court's order dated 24.04.2018, the petitioners' address in Delhi has been verified. According to the Status Report, the petitioners are ordinarily residents of Uttar Pradesh and not at Delhi. The learned counsel for the petitioners states that because of a threat assessed by them, from the family of petitioner no. 2, they have been living in Delhi. The Investigating Officer is present in Court and is directed to interact with the petitioners in the Court premises.
In the circumstances, SHO of Police Station Aman Vihar is directed to provide them appropriate security in terms of threat assessed apropos the petitioners. Their address of residence would not be disclosed by the police to anybody else. The petitioners shall be provided three telephone numbers
of police officers, including one lady police officer. These numbers shall be kept operational at all times so that the petitioners could contact the police in case of any exigency.
The learned counsel for the State assures the Court that any information received from the petitioners, either through a telephone call or SMS, would be immediately responded to. Additionally, the Beat Constable of the area shall visit the petitioners on a daily basis for the next one month and ascertain about their safety and security. Due entries shall be made in the Beat Book and Roznamchas, with requisite endorsements of the SHO. The SHO of the area concerned would also assess the security of the petitioners on a regular basis. Should the petitioners shift their address to the subsequent jurisdiction, the same protection shall be granted to them by the subsequent Police Station also.
The petition stands disposed-off in the above terms. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties under the signature of the Court Master. NAJMI WAZIRI, J JULY 17, 2018 RW
