By the present petition the petitioner who is the prosecutrix in FIR No.63/2015 registered under Sections 363/376/506/323IPC and Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, PS Chanakya Puri, Delhi seeks speedy trial.

A status report has been filed. As per the status report out of the 23 witnesses to be examined by the prosecution 17 witnesses have already been examined. The application of the accused for recalling the witnesses under Section 311 Cr.P.C. has already been dismissed on 14th May, 2016. Out of the six witnesses remaining to be examined, three are public witnesses and three are formal witnesses.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that endeavour will be made to examine all the witnesses on 24th August, 2016. 4.

Considering the fact that the trial has already been expedited by the learned Trial Court, I find no reason to pass any further directions. 5.
