O R D E R

% 08.05.2019 The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek the quashing of the order dated 22.11.2017 along with order dated 03.10.2017, whereby the offer of appointment made to the petitioner was cancelled. He also assails the order dated 16.01.2018 passed on the petitioner's representation - rejecting the same. He seeks a direction that the offer of appointment made to him dated 30.03.2017 for the post of CT/ GD in SSC be restored and the petitioner be allowed to join the said post with all consequential benefits.

The petitioner's candidature was cancelled since it was found in forensic examination that the thumb impression taken in the admission certificate at the concerned examination venue during written examination on 04.10.2015

was different from specimen left thumb impression of the petitioner taken during his identity verification on 03.06.2016. Pertinently, the petitioner has not assailed the CFSL Report in these proceedings, and rightly so. Unless the petitioner assails the said report in appropriate proceedings, reliance placed on the said CFSL Report cannot be faulted. We, therefore, dismiss this petition, leaving it open to the petitioner to assail the said Report in the appropriate proceedings, if the petitioner is so advised.
