Present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed for quashing of FIR No.767/2017 registered under Section 135 read with Section 150 of Indian Electricity Act at PS Jamia Nagar. It is informed that the matter has been settled with respondent No.2 / BSES. 2.
Learned counsel for respondent No.2 / BSES is present and informs that the matter has been settled before Permanent Lok Adalat
on 18.01.2018. Pursuant to the settlement, the required payment has been paid by the petitioner. The respondent No.2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR qua the petitioner.

Since the matter has been settled amicably before the Permanent Lok Adalat between the petitioner and respondent No.2, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to put an end to the litigation, FIR No.767/2017 registered under Section 135 read with Section 150 of Indian Electricity Act at PS Jamia Nagar and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed qua the petitioner. 4.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
