% 01.09.2016 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.25/2013 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 IPC against the petitioners.
The complainant is present in Court. She is identified by her counsel as well as the Investigating Officer. She has also produced her ID card, which has been shown to the Court and returned. The parties have arrived at a settlement on 03.12.2015, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, the complainant has already received an amount of Rs.65,000/-. The balance amount of Rs.60,000/- has
been tendered to her in Court today by way of a pay order. Cost of Rs.7,000/- has also been paid in cash today in Court to the complainant. She states that she has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that she has entered the settlement out of her own free will. The complainant states that she joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.
In the aforesaid circumstances, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings arising therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
Petition stands disposed of.
