The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereafter 'the Act'), inter alia, praying that the time for completion of the arbitral proceedings be extended. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent also joins the learned counsel for the petitioner in making the aforesaid request. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the parties state that the delay in completion of the proceedings is not attributable to the Arbitral Tribunal. They further states that the arbitral proceedings are at the stage of recording of evidence and the Arbitral Tribunal would require further time of six months to make an award.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed and the time for making the award is extended for a further period of six months from 24.04.2018;
that is, till 23.10.2018.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 5.
