The petitioner has filed this petition praying inter alia for several reliefs including directions to the respondents/CRPF to release his superannuation pension with penal interest payable on the terminal dues. 2.

A counter affidavit has been filed in opposition to the present petition. However, no rejoinder has been filed till date. 3.

Mr. Mahajan, learned counsel for the respondents No.1 to 5 states on instructions that there is no departmental or judicial inquiry pending against the petitioner and all his retiral dues shall be released in his favour within six weeks.

We are of the opinion that when no departmental/judicial proceedings were pending against the petitioner on the date of his superannuation on 30.11.2015, there was no justification whatsoever for the respondents to have withheld his retiral dues all this while. It is deemed appropriate to direct the respondents to release all the retiral benefits of the petitioner alongwith interest payable at the PPF rates from the date the said amounts became due and payable, till they are released, within six weeks from today. 5.

As for the remaining reliefs prayed for in prayer clause (iv) to prayer clause (vii) of the petition, learned counsel for the petitioner states on instructions that she does not wish to press the present petition for the said reliefs any further.

Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of in terms of the order passed above.
